Ice Necklace/
Time slips slowly through our hands. In Ice Necklace I make the passing of that time visible and give form to transience. Coloured ice cubes slowly melt off their chain and leave traces on the white robe that serves as a canvas for my body. Just as life, too, passes and leaves its traces. The melting unfolds agonisingly slowly: only after a good hour and a half have all the ice cubes disappeared. An ice-cold, physical exercise to undergo. That physicality also makes time literally tangible for me during the performance. At the same time, that span is negligible on the scale of a human life. Let alone within the cosmic whole, in which I and this performance are only an almost invisible pinprick.
