Medium Video loop on two screens

Pulling out wool evokes associations with taking off clothing. Whoever keeps pulling the thread of a knitted garment long enough ends up naked. In two short, repeating videos, presented on two screens placed one above the other, knitted pieces are slowly unravelled, so that intimate parts of my body gradually seem to become visible. What normally stays covered seems to give itself away on screen. The suggestion of complete revelation creates a suggestive tension. Yet it remains voyeuristic desire, for the unravelling of the knitwear never reaches a climax and stays stuck in repetition. The work plays with expectation, shame and repetition, and poses the question of why we keep watching and what we hope to see.
